Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns — November 17, 2008 at 8:30PM
5-4. 0-3 in the division. The team is bleeding. The coaching is atrocious. The Tailgates remain fantastic.
And now it's time for Monday Night Football at the Ralph!
The Tailgate will begin at around 4:30PM in the Buffalo Bills Bus/Limo Lot (see this image for the location), on Abbott Rd. across the street from the stadium. We don't know exactly where we'll be placed in that lot, or exactly what time we'll be there, so it's a good idea to have one or more of our phone numbers handy. Call me at 585-330-2218 if you need help finding us.
Postgame Update:
OK, I don't think anyone wants to read about this game. So, I'll talk about the tailgate.
My brother asked me to remind him next year not to do a Thanksgiving Feast because of the extraordinary effort to put together such a great meal for over 60 people. But my guess is that come next year, he'll do it all over again. It was outstanding -- every course was enjoyed by all.
35 of us took two limo buses to the game. One of them had a mechanical malfunction and almost didn't make it, but had to be replaced with a hummer limo for the ride home. Others caravaned to Orchard Park even earlier and checked into a hotel for the night. And still others just descended on our tailgate from every direction.
The weather was freezing, but the atmosphere was incredible. Tens of thousands of tailgaters under the stadium and parking lot lights, a live MNF concert, pregame parties in every direction — The Ralph was the place to be last night!
Our newest experiment, a Live Webcam Feed from our tailgate, was pretty much a success. We were able to broadcast for over 2 hours, and at times we had as many as 40 viewers at once! Our website had its busiest day ever, with almost 400 unique visitors! Here are some links to the raw recordings of the live feeds:
