The red-hot Saints will challenge the Bills at the second home game of the season. The game is another 4PM kickoff so the tailgate will begin same time as last week. Marc has prepared another incredible menu loaded with some of my favorites. Holly will attend her second tailgate, and there will be a large Yale contingent joining Marc.
This will be my final tailgate of the season. I move to Thailand on the Tuesday after the game. I will keep this website up to date from a distance, and I know that it will provide me with a connection to our incredible tailgates!!
The Tailgate will begin at around 12:15PM in Buffalo Bills Parking Lot #1, on the Field House side of the stadium. The entrance to the parking lot is off of Rte. 20A (Big Tree Road). We will park within about 30 feet of Light Pole #6 in that parking lot. See the map below. Call Marc at 585-797-8923 if you get lost.
Postgame Update:
I have mixed feelings after this tailgate and game. Even through very brief showers, the tailgate was amazing. The food just kept coming and kept delighting. Marc has changed his cooking flow -- instead of cooking all of one thing, then all of the next, he is constantly rotating in the dishes. This way (unlike at tailgates past) you are not full before the main dish arrives!! For me it was appropriate that we had flank steak at my final tailgate. It's without a doubt my favorite.
It was such a great time spending time with my brother's Yale friends. Most I hadn't seen for over 20 years. I hope that it becomes at least an annual event having them all at the games.
Holly and I left the game at halftime so we could get home to finish packing. This turned out to be the right move after what I heard on the radio. On the way back to the car I stopped and looked at the stadium and the tailgate lots. My season ticket adventures started here in 1986, and so many memorable moments occurred there. These Sundays have allowed all of us to enjoy group adventures that most people around the world could never conceive of!! As long as my friends continue the Sunday parties, I can enjoy them through you (so take photos, zip them into one file, and upload them to me). I'll continue posting them on this website!!!
